Tuesday with a Scholar

  • Roseville Library 2180 North Hamline Ave Roseville, MN 55113 (map)

When the Environmental Protection Agency was established almost half a century ago under a Republican administration, scientists and government worked together to address the problems of pollution and other man-made hazards. In recent years, however, that once firm partnership has begun to erode. Join scientist Deborah Swackhamer at the Roseville Library for an eyewitness report on the increasingly problematic relationship between politics and science.
This program is co-sponsored by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute of the University of Minnesota [OLLI] with financial support from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
