From raising awareness about ocean life and health in 5th grade by creating life-sized paper-mache orcas to helping organize the March for Science in Minnesota 25 years later, her American experience as an immigrant has helped her realize the importance, usage and advocacy for science as a fundamental part of humanity's progress.

She has a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Media Studies and a mini-MBA certification in Digital Marketing from Rutgers University in New Jersey. Samreen currently works as a Marketing Specialist at Wilder Foundation, a non-profit community organization in St. Paul, Minnesota.
